On Thursday 16 December 2021, in the courtyard of the Guneku Palace, F.H.E.D — Fons for Health, Education and Development made a donation to twenty-eight people living with disabilities from Guneku and neighbouring villages.
The donation comprised 220 table birds, 22 bags of feed, four wheelchairs and anti-epilepsy medication, with a total value of 1,381,000 FCFA. Nine days earlier the organisation had donated eight benches, worth 200,000 FCFA, to the Presbyterian School Annex at Ku.
Present at the Palace ceremony were Ndingwan Primus, Chairman of the Guneku Traditional Council; Fomuki Carine, a queen of the Palace; and Fons of neighbouring Fondoms.
F.H.E.D is headquartered in the Guneku Palace. It was founded in 2003 as Fons Against AIDS, with HRH Fon Fomuki Patrick Nji of Guneku as its founding president, and renamed in 2021 when its mandate widened beyond HIV and AIDS.
