During July and August 2026 at least two members reported that their WhatsApp accounts had been compromised and then used to ask other people for money. This notice exists so that nobody loses money to someone impersonating a member of this community.
How official announcements work
- Official announcements come from the Palace, the CIG Delegate, or a branch executive.
- Anything genuinely official is repeated on this website. If it is not here, treat it as unconfirmed.
- Payments to the Guneku Agro CIG run through GUNECCUL, account 200637 — not to a personal account.
If someone asks you for money
- Call the person back on a number you already had for them. Do not reply only in the chat.
- Be suspicious of urgency. Pressure to send money quickly is the most common warning sign.
- Never send money to a personal account for a community project.
- Keep your receipts and screenshots, and print them where you can. Members were asked to do this for their own protection.
- Tell the group if your account is compromised, so others are warned.
The village groups also carry a good deal of unverified health and grant material. Members themselves push back on it, and rightly. Nothing of that kind is published on this site.
