In recognition of academic excellence, the medical school based in Guneku awarded 50,000 FCFA each to its four best-performing students following their Higher National Diploma (HND) results.
The awards were reported in a feature by Fondom Studios, published on 12 September 2026, ahead of the Guneku Education & Scholarship Day selection examination. In it:
- Three students who obtained their HNDs talk about their experience and what their training has meant to them.
- Dr. Billy Wembe, a doctor at Guneku Medical Center — which also gives students an important practical training environment — speaks on the importance of education.
- The school's director, Prof. Dr. Tah Thierry, speaks about paying attention to students' careers and preparing them for the future.
- HRH Dr. Fomuki Ticha IX, Fon of Guneku and patron of the scholarship initiative, speaks about supporting education in the community.
On the school's name
The feature calls the school Medvisac. The Fondom's records know it as MEDPHISATG, also written Medphisatag, and the correct form is not yet settled. It is recorded here as the feature names it.
