A farewell and welcome mass for the outgoing and incoming parish priests of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Njindom, was said on Sunday 5 July 2026. Christians from Sang, Munam and Guneku village converged on the main mission station at Njindom.
They bade farewell to Fr. Ngu Emmanuel and welcomed Fr. Ngeh Joseph, who comes from Bawum Parish. The two were exchanged in a transfer by the Archdiocese of Bamenda.
The new parish priest centred his first sermon on acceptance rather than comparison, and undertook to live up to the expectations of the parish.
In her farewell speech the Parish Pastoral Council Secretary recalled that Fr. Ngu first arrived in Njindom on Wednesday 1 July 2020, in the heart of the crisis, and that his ministry was never limited to the sanctuary — that his greatest achievements were not buildings but people.
