HEALTH
THE GUNEKU INTEGRATED HEALTH CENTRES
Three Integrated Health Centres serve the outlying quarters of Guneku. The Palace and GUDECA assessed all three, and the assessment was filmed as a documentary series. The statuses below are the ones that assessment recorded. They are not a statement about 2026, and each should be re-checked before it is relied on.

FACILITIES
Name: Munam Integrated Health Centre
Zone: Lower Guneku
Status: Operational
Detail: A government structure offering general consultations, admission of patients, deliveries and treatment of minor health problems. It serves Munam and the neighbouring village of Sang, and remained functional throughout the crisis years. The USA branch of GUDECA recruited and posted an additional nurse in December 2020 on a renewable three-year contract, adding to the four already there.
Name: Mbengeghang Integrated Health Centre
Zone: Guneku
Status: Operational, without electricity
Detail: Recorded as operating with no electricity supply, a bush lamp serving as the light source when patients are attended to at night.
Name: Fringyeng Integrated Health Centre
Zone: Upper Guneku
Status: Built, not recorded as operational
Detail: Recorded in the assessment as constructed but never brought into service. The Fon’s letter of September 2022 refers to a newly established healthcare centre in Fringyeng and warns against interfering with it. The two statements have not been reconciled, and both are recorded here rather than one being chosen.
