This record concerns an alleged attack on children. The victims are not identified here and should not be identified anywhere. The suspects have not been tried.

What was reported

A family home in Guneku was attacked. According to the account published by Fondom Studios, two young girls were allegedly attacked inside their home, and about 120,000 FCFA was reportedly taken from the family. The allegations reported in the community include robbery and sexual assault.

The community and the Palace

Rather than leave the matter to rumour, the community turned to the Guneku Palace and its traditional institutions. A quiet investigation followed: information was gathered and suspects were identified.

On Friday 2 October 2026, the suspects were brought before the Palace for questioning. According to the documentary, items were recovered in the course of the investigation, and the case was then passed to the gendarmerie. Mbengwi Info Newsline reported the same afternoon that the security forces had taken the suspects to Mbengwi for further questioning, and that the village was calm.

Where the matter stands

The suspects are subject to the ordinary legal process. Statements or admissions reported during the questioning at the Palace are not a court judgment, and nobody is guilty of anything until a court says so. No charge, trial or verdict has been reported in the sources reviewed up to 17 October 2026. This record will be updated if one is.
